After 10 years serving on Tennyson Street, Denver’s favorite indie bookstore + wine bar is now closed. But we have BIG plans in the works for continuing the BookBar mission of building community…stay tuned!

Founder Nicole Sullivan opened BookBar in 2013 to create a community gathering space where visitors were encouraged to lounge and read, meet and discuss, share food, drink, or the written word, and savor the good things in life.

BookBar regularly hosted author readings as well as a full roster of events for the local reading and writing community, such as book clubs and writing meet-ups.

Although BookBar is now closed, we are continuing the mission with books and community-building at The Bookies Bookstore!
