Hi there! We’re BookBar Press, the little sister publishing arm of Denver’s favorite indie bookstore + wine bar. We like our books the way we like our drinks—bold, varied, and with the occasional bite.

Here at BookBar Press, we don’t take ourselves too seriously and we’re known to be a little bit cheeky. Some might even say we’re an acquired taste. But, there are two things we’re very serious about: books and community.

Community is at the heart of every successful BookBar endeavor, from the locals that make BookBar a second home to the volunteers that distribute BookGive books to the readers who form book clubs through Read Club Hub. With BookBar Press, we’ll continue to cultivate community connection and support our incredible local and regional writing community.

And though we may sometimes be a little irreverent, we truly believe books have the power to effect change by opening minds and hearts. We want to publish those kinds of books...the ones that lift up unheard voices, and keep our readers thinking and talking. And then maybe crying a little, possibly yelling, laughing out loud, and then thinking and talking some more. You get the idea.
